I see a fake NCOER complete with Rally Point influence score being shared at a dining-in in the near future. In my experience (hahaha I know), those functions are where the Army does humor best, and extremely well sometimes.

First of all I'm not a humorless drone so I don't want to take away from the joke here, but on a serious note, I think there are ways that Rally Point could be used to influence performance positively in ways that could reflect on an OER/NCOER. How about these very forums we post on? There have been a lot of educational and/or heated debate topics posted on here that could be used for discussions with subordinates in formal or informal OPDs, NCOPDs, LPDs or whatever flavor of professional development applies to you. Don't let the knowledge and discussion started in here end here. Take it to your unit. Then that effort to teach/coach/mentor your Soldiers could in fact influence how you're evaluated.

I say no, it is not really within the duty description you are being rated as. Anyone can be anybody on the internet, not saying y'all are posers, but I feel it is moot for an NCOER bullet. Thank you for your time.

This reminded me of an old story of mine:

Had a friend who wrote a joke NCOER for himself and submitted it to his supervisor as a "guide" because TDYs had kept the two seaparate for the majority of the year.

Bullet comments included creating cold fission, competing in the mongolian army NCO of the year competition, obtaining superpowers, courting Jessica Alba, and teaching an old dog new tricks.

many of his bullet comments also ended in question marks and he exceeded the BN PT standard by scoring an "ELEVENTY GADRILLION" on the APFT.

Well, in a routine "spot check" the 1SG found it on the PSGs desk and picked it up, understanding that all is in good fun. He then rewrote the NCOER properly (using all the same bullet comments) so IF all the events were true, would have been a well written NCOER and accepted by HQ. He then used the two as before and after NCOER examples for the next NCOPD.

That is what I like to call Leadership, like a BOSS.
