Should OCS officers be saved from forced RIF/retirement at enlisted grades?

I think if you are being involuntarily separated/retired (e.g. you did not request the retirement/separation) then the Military Should waive the commissioned time in service for your retired grade.

If you choose to retire understanding the commissioned service requirement, then you made that decision for your self.

I think LTC Paul Heinlein has hit the nail on the head. If the DOD wants to do something stupid, like force out a prior enlisted officer with all that experience while the world is blowing up around us, then the DOD should have to pay a premium for their stupidity.

If the service member in question voluntarily leaves, knowing full well what the commitment time frame was, well that's their choice and they have to deal with the consequences of that decision.

I also think those forced out prior to completing their commitment due to injury should be paid at their highest rank achieved, not their enlisted rank.

Wow. Every single one of those senators proposing this bill are weasels. No, worse than that...they are the lowest form of scum and rotting flesh on the face of this earth!!! what right do they have to take away what was earned by these officers regardless of the type of separation as long as it is honorable?!?

That is what Sanctuary Program is for. I went through it. Also if you held commission for LESS than ten years the SEC of each Branch can reduce 10 to 8 and allow you to retire at 20 years of AFS.
The title 10 laws are already in place to allow for this look uo TITLE 10 3911, 3964, 3926 and educate yourself.
