Several states have state defense forces but they are a defense force in name only. Usually they are little more than free labor to augment the guard and suffer from recruitment and retention problems. This can be addressed by making them an armed force but there would need to be some controls in place. SGT David T. It's not a very large force. It's more of a support force than anything else. They don't carry guns. They're all volunteer. It's more "public service" than "military." We have guards. These militias don't have a common standard across the board and seldom try in anything less than support operations. NC doesn't have a State Militia. It was banned a while back. Someone made a state militia association but that really isn't anything that the state controls. I just don't like armed groups that have poor, if any, training. A lot of the time you attract the wrong crowd into this. I had a soldier I served with do this stuff. He was crazy as Stuff. He was also a stolen valor. He said he was a ranger. Never was. He was down at the bundy ranch. People like him go into these groups and often go unopposed.

Ryan Payne the fake Ranger at Bundy Ranch

The Canada Free Press reports that Ryan Payne, the fellow we talked about yesterday who was head of security at the Bundy Ranch and claimed to be a Ranger w

CPT Private RallyPoint Member Fri, 15 May 2015 12:31:04 -0400 2015-05-15T12:31:04-04:00 2015-05-15T09:20:32-04:00
