Should the congress consider using the Popular Vote to elect the President and do away with the Electorial Vote. 2015-04-15T18:48:03-04:00 MAJ David Vermillion 594581 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Who ever gets the majority of the votes should be elected President of the United States. The electoral college generally votes with their majority (popularity) vote anyway, however they are not required to and have gone against it in the past. I would say if we truly want to say that we the people choose who leads us then it should be by the popular vote. This would also likely cause an increase in the amount of voters as they actually feel like their vote counts amongst the millions of others.
