With C.K.'s recent award of his participation trophy, public opinion seems to be leaning to the adoption of a similar statute set forth by the NBA requiring its athletes to stand during the National Anthem. Is this something that should be mandated?

Honestly no. I'm not going to force people to stand for the Anthem. But what I will not stand for is people using the Anthem for their own political soapbox. Stand, sit, kneel, I don't care. If you don't stand for the Anthem, I'm already looking at you like you're a piece of crap. But if you want to come out and make this big statement on how you won't stand because blah blah blah. Sorry, get out. It's not about you.

Celebrities seem to only be able to validate themselves when they are the center of attention. Well I won't be giving any attention to any organization that allows the Anthem to be a soapbox. They don't want to stand, fine. But they will shut the hell up from the first note all the way until the last note.

Let us not forget that this is their job. If their employer says to stand, you stand. If one chooses not to abide by their employers regulations, they can find another job...just ask that "high speed" Navy female that was so dumb, posting her "protest" on Facebook

I absolutely abhor any American that will not show the proper respect for our colors and our National Anthem. That being said, I would defend to the death their right to do as they wish.
