So the Commander in Chief revealed his own Twitter account yesterday. While I believe that this may be more of a PR move primarily from The Oval Office, however is it the place of the President (regardless of who is in office) to have their own Twitter handle or should they be more focused on running the country. Personally I see this as more of a distraction and potentially a security risk more than anything, but I would like your thoughts/opinions.

Yes, it will allow for more communication from the President to the people that elect him. It used to be that the President had to rely on ABC, NBC, and CBS to reach people. He can now do it through social media perhaps more effectively.

I don't think that having an account diminishes his ability to run the country. If you can't trust your President to manage such a simple task, then there are probably far larger problems.
