We also need to address the belt and road doctrine of the Chinese government. They have leased more than 40 ports around the world. In WWII one of the first orders of business was to protect Australia from Japan. Now China has a 99 year lease of Port Darwin which makes defending Australia a lot harder.<br /><br />One of the Principles of War is a common Objective.
