Should you upgrade to OCP now or later?

Many Clothing and Sales locations don't have common sizes, and common sizes are not available online at this time. Other online retailers (such as USAMM) are selling them at a $50 premium to the C&S pricing. Will you make the transition now, or wait until later?

I bought a set when I redeployed in September. It was time for a new uniform, as mine had been through alot. Just remember the army's policy right now is soldiers can wear the OCP uniform with any combination of t shirt boots and belt. You can wear a tan belt with new boot and old t shirt.

"The rule here, Commons said, is that when a Soldier is wearing the UCP ACU, he or she must wear the undershirt, belt and boots designed for wear with the UCP ACU. However, when Soldiers wear the Operational Camouflage Pattern ACU, they can wear "any combination" of boots, belt and T-shirt, in any of the available colors; the boots, belt, and t-shirt do not have to match each other."Sgt. I bought them about a week or two after they dropped at Hood. It's the closest thing to the old woodland BDU pattern we all used to wear and I couldn't wait.

Why not wear the uniforms we have while we stil can? Way I see it, every day I wear multicam or UCP is another day I get out of the OCP when I buy them.

Already have my four sets and ruined one due to pens being left in the inserts on the sleeve. I like them, they fit differently as well than the ACU's.

I would wear them now, but I'll wait until they are issued. I've had enough trouble getting the new pts

I would love to upgrade, but the shopette on my Reserve base never seems to have my hat size on stock....and the AAFES website is ALWAYS out of my size.

1.) It's "Clothing Sales" not "Clothing and Sales."

2.) According to SMA, "Scorpion" was the name given to the TEST pattern that became the new pattern. The new uniform is called.... "The Army Combat Uniform" or ACU.

My ETS date is prior to the UCP wear-out date, so until then I alternate my UCPs and my OCP (aka Muticam) uniforms. So unless I get picked up for SFC/E-7 in the next 22 months, I won't be buying the new uniforms (IPFUs included)

I'll be waiting for the Army to give me mine since A2CUs are pretty hard to find in my experience.

I wish I would have waited. I got my sizes, but once I put them on one was way too big and the other way too small. Be sure you try every piece on before you get your patches sewn on.

I bought a few sets for garrison, and kept a few nasty UCP sets for our upcoming CTC rotations.
