Since I left the Army 7 months ago and Finance is saying that I "never cleared them", should I even bother calling them back at this point?

Hello, soI recently missed a phone call from the financial office saying that " I have not cleared them so because of that I will not be receiving my final pay" I haven't reached out to them yet but here's the deal I left the army 7 months ago and moved on. My question is should I even bother calling them back at this point? Is it even worth the hassle dealing with them anymore? I'm leaning more towards not even calling back and Its been 7 months since I've been out of the army and my wife and I are planning to move to New Zealand after I finish college soon and I am a little irritated and annoyed with this.

If this is the case they would then owe you money, unless there is something missing. Since you can clear this up via phone, Fax, and email, why would you not want to be paid. There is final pay, travel and other related money’s awaiting you. If you did not properly clear you may see some funny stuff legally, taxes etc. it is best you finish out processing.

I guess if you’re independently wealthy you don’t need your final pay. I can’t imagine being so financially well off that I would be annoyed by someone calling me and telling me I have more money waiting out there.
