Since my company is being disbanded and I PCS in December, will I be forced to stay 12 months before reclassing/reenlisting?

My company is being disbanded and I PCS in December, my reclass window opens in January.
Will I be forced to stay 12 months before reclassing/reenlisting or can I get a waiver for it?? I’m a first timer

You would have to talk to the proponent in which you are trying to reclass into. Usually, the answer is yes, you must be at the unit for at least 12 months.

When you get to your new assignment you can immediately request a reclass through reenlistment. Your course start date will not be until after you have 13 months at your location, which will severely limit your options at first.
