Since my ETS date was adjusted due to a demotion, will my ETS date go back to what it originally was if I get promoted?

I got demoted last October from SPC to PFC and my ETS date adjusted to the rcp date for PFC. My ets date was origanly September of 2020 now its September of 2018 and I'm already in the process of getting out. enrolled in school got jobs lined up etc. now I'm eligible for promotion back to SPC and I was wondering if they promote me does my ets date go back to what it originally was or does it stay the same as it is now as I'm already looking forward to life after this uniform.

A lot of different scenarios - 1 - you may be eligible for promotion, but that does not mean you will be - believe it or not - it is not automatic - your NCO's have a say in it at the monthly report meetings with your 1SG. 2 - if you get promoted, then you no long have the same RCP, thus if you are contractually obligated to serve until 2020, then you have a contract you will honor and your ERB will reflect that when you get promoted. 3 - you can try telling your NCO's that you do not want to be promoted - not sure how that will fly for you.

thank you I needed to know if I need to take myself out of school as I'm already enrolled and tell the people I have a job lined up with I wont make it.

PFC (Join to see) - what you "want" is irrelevant - either they will promote you and your ETS will adjust, or they wont and you will get out at your RCP point - Your actions have taken that out of your hands. Seriously - you signed a contract - and to be honest - you trying to get out of that contract by not wanting a promotion is kinda shitty. You made a commitment, Honor that commitment.

Yes, if you are promoted, your ETS will go back to what it is by contract. It was only adjusted due to shorter RCP of the rank (PFC) Your Service obligation is still what it was before the demotion.
Not getting promoted to E4 is easily doable if that is what the CMD wants.., and as a 1SG I would absolutely not waste a C10 roster slot on you... Based on your stated position.
If the unit 1Sg and CDR know what you have posted here, I cant imagine them being so hard up for a lower enlisted cannon cocker that they would do anything other then support your desired departure.
None of that is attacking you, just taking what you have posted and responding
