Anyone who tells you otherwise is speculating. Either continue to request a seat once a month, or pick a different option. Chances are though, you&#39;ll be promotable or promoted by the time a seat opens up and need another grade waiver that probably won&#39;t be approved. So many people to push through it that they now have a day shift and a night shift. Obviously, Active gets first slots, Guard/Reserve gets second shot, and prior service Guard/Reserve get bottom of the totem pole. We had one guy waiting almost 2 years and finally got dates for this coming October. One of my other flight members got lucky and filled a spot that someone dropped out of. That may be your best bet of getting in early - filling a spot that someone drops out of.
