Since there is a DoD travel ban for COVID-19, will I be able to return to post when my convalescent leave ends?

I’m on convalescent leave in California. The pentagon just wrote a memorandum stating all domestic travel is banned if it’s not local till may 11th. Will I be able to return or have to wait out the time until the momorandum states that domestic travel can be continued again. Thanks for the help..

It could go either way for you, FRAGO 9 and FRAGO 11 to HQDA EXORD 144-20 provided additional guidance on this. The approval authority for a return from leave is the first GO in your chain of command. You'll have to work this with your CoC.

You have two excellent responses. I’m gearing my comment to the underlying issue; uncertainty on your part. You’re in the military and this happens; situations of uncertainty (orders, training, travel, etc.). General rule of thumb, stay; situationally aware, communicate with your chain of command, be prepared to move out on short notice, have confidence in yourself to react.
