They were not, I now have six days starting tomorrow to clear the installation and get my family to our next duty station overseas. Should I type up my own DA Form 137-2 or wait and see? Six Days out from PCS and haven't received my Clearing Papers. At worst you put in a 30 day deferment 4187 signed by your BN CDR and get an extra month... In the future, when you're thinking that you should just walk away from something high stress and time sensitive and that it will be perfectly fine when you return a month later.... Don't. This was not a failing on your unit or your post, this was 100% a failing on you because of your choices.

All the information you need to initiate your clearing appointment should be in your levy brief. If you don't have a copy, you need to contact your reassignment section. It's not actually hard to clear most posts, and you can probably clear it in two days. But if you haven't received your post clearing papers it's almost certain there is some critical step you missed. I have tried to get my clearing papers before I took leave. Infact, S1 emails the request for them I was told it would be in my email. I am not the only person that is doing this right now. Normally you yourself has to go and sign for your clearing papers usually 10 civilian working days before you PCS. You can get it done less time. I ended up reporting 3 days late past my report date but I had the leave date to back it up. It took me 3 days to clear literally everything at FT Bragg from the top down.
