SLRP Incentive.

When I enlisted, one of the encentives I received was a Student Loan Repayment Program up to $50,000. I have been trying for 2 years to get them to pay my loans; however I have yet to recieve any payment on them. Has anyone successfully used this program? Everyone I've talked to, either has never even heard of it, or has no clue how to use it!

Yes, I did it. It took years. They made up the payments but they did not repay any of the extra interest that was incurred because they paid years late.

Make sure to have copies of your contract that has it on it.

Does anyone know what code for SLRP is on your contract? I was told & swear I remember signing for it when I enlisted. But there's question if it was part of my contract. I see the codes AEK on my contract but I don't know what each stands for. Someone thought I should have 4 if I had SLRP; bonus, GI Bill, kicker & SLRP.

I got it on my second enlistment, and on my third I was informed that the Army has retroactively altered my second contract and removed it. Then it was followed by a recoupment memo asking me to pay pack the last 6 thousand that was paid previously. Good luck. You have a better chance finding gold at the end of a rainbow than actually getting, or in my case keeping. SLRP.

I’m having the same issue. I have emailed, called, and visited the Student Education center in person. The website I’m constantly directed to (WEBS) does not work. I have used a govt computer AND STILL can’t start the repayment process. Now I have student debt that was promised to be paid by the Army and I’m having to pay on it myself.
