I am currently non scholarship and I am thinking of getting a job in Texas and taking some classes online and possibly doing ROTC at a university near where I want to work. Would I be able to transfer schools and still be an ms3 smp cadet? SMP non scholarship state transfer? 2019-03-04T11:39:24-05:00 SGT Private RallyPoint Member 4419370 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>If I am currently an SMP cadet at and I’m about to be an ms3 am I able to transfer my contract to a different college out of state. He/she should have info about regulations. Along with your military status, remember that your academic status also determines MS level since your credits may or may not transfer to new college. My recommendation is to stay in place, honor your contract, and graduate on time. You are little over a year from commissioning. There are a couple of things I know for sure. First you have to be in a full time status as a student to be a contracted cadet. Taking some classes online may not put you in that situation. Second, you are enrolled as a cadet at a specific institution. So you would not be able to take online classes at your current school and do ROTC at a different school. Third, as MAJ Chu and COL McClellan said, transferring schools does not mean all your credits would transfer. So this may affect your graduation date. Again, I would say that you made a commitment to the Army and your ROTC program and you should live up to that commitment. Used to call them the ROO. Response by COL Brad Welch made Mar 12 at 2019 2:26 PM 2019-03-12T14:26:41-04:00 2019-03-12T14:26:41-04:00 2019-03-04T11:39:24-05:00
