SNIPER, RECON, CAV, SAPPER, RANGER, SF, which of your titles are you most proud of?

We are all Service Members (SM), but we wear so many other titles as well.

Which are you most proud of? Ranger, SF, Scout, Recon, Cook, Yeoman, Recon

They are all equally okay with me, but sometimes we forget we are a soldier first.

Any thought?

Title I'm most proud of in my service on the line is "doc" usually tossed around the moment a medic gets attached but deep down it means so much more to me at least to have the trust of my platoon knowing I'll do absolutely everything in my power to take care of their dumbasses.

Marine, Doc... Joined the Marine Corps many years ago and being female well it was a definite accomplishment over 20 years ago, but then being called Doc for the first time in combat, well that was one hell of a feeling too...

TOP! There many First Sergeants... And even sime SPEC8s... But when years later you hear those soldiers of yesteryear call you TOP.... And hear the respect and fondnest in their voice... I would submit that you did you job well! That's the way I take it anyways.

I think I have to agree with SPC Jay Heenen (sorry I couldn't make RP tag you for the life of me!) that Dad is the title I'm most proud of.

Right after that I hold "Veteran" to be the title that is the biggest influence in my own life.

We are all soldiers and I must admit that although I was in combat, one of 16 soldiers (from 4-8 Cav team 1987) in the history of the US Army to win the Canadian Army Trophy and I received a Bronze Star for my combat actions I still look back and say...DARN! I should have tried Ranger, SF, Airborne or Air Assault...I always wanted to but something always came up...that being said I have the wonderful privilege to be in business with 2 SF Veteran heroes, they make no difference and neither do I (at least I act like it).

I am proud to have completed the Spur Run to earn my silver Spurs but before that I served in combat with the 8th Cavalry, earning me my Combat Spurs in Gold. As a Cavalry soldier there is seldom a higher honor (to include the Stetson)

I have massive respect for the "tabbed" soldiers (and the equivalent in the Navy, Marine, Air Force and Coast Guard) I know what it took out of you but more important...I know what you put into it and sacrificed!

Thank you all for your service, I am proud to be affiliated with all of you!

Over all my proudest title is 'mommy' but professionally it was when I got my ER designator as a nurse to save soldiers!

I had an old ranger SSgt ask me that one night sitting on an op. Of course I answered what i thought he wanted to hear (a ranger tab). Nope he said your last name without that you are nothing, and everything else builds off of that. Thank you for the mentoring and life lesson SSgt Sullivan, and rest in peace sir!

Supply. I love being called supply. I've got the stuff they need to do their jobs. And if I don't, I find it for them. I feel like a very important piece of the puzzle.

I was never any of those, never in combat, but I'm proud of all of them for being part of the Army team and I'm proud as to be part of the Army team (as a retired soldier). Some occupations may require more and tougher training and tougher deployments, but they all are important or the mission wouldn't be successful. I do make special salutes to those who volunteer for the more dangerous/tougher specialties, but I also am just as proud of all my fellow soldiers be they a cook, medic, Ranger, infantry, SF A Team, Private or General. If I ever recgonize a fellow soldier (Marine, sailor, Airmen,etc) by seeing a uniform or a cap, whenever possible, I say hello and thank them for their service.
