So after doing the online training for BRS I'm still confused. If you opt in are you only receiving what you put in to TSP?

It seems to say you receive a "pension" of 2% instead of the typical 2.5% but they don't really come right out and say it. They just keep harping on the percentage of SM's who actually stay in for 20 years. Do you receive 2% x 20 yrs as a monthly percentage every month in addition to the matching contribution to TSP?
