It involves lots of essay writing (about 6) using army writing style. Work on your essay writing skills, start memorizing the creed, you’re going to be saying it several times a day and you’ll be given the first week to memorize it or you get a counseling. Start leading prt and DNC. No field exercise but you’ll conduct an individual training and your topic may or may not be on map reading. You will do a lot of DNC, which I sucked at, PRT, which is easy to a point, but make sure you do everything opposite of what you do. And STX and the field exercise is also taken out. So pretty much all class room and doing research. Depends on where you go also. Feel free to ask me what to expect. The new curriculum is a lot less hands on from what I've heard from SM's that graduated a month ago. They said it was less "tactical leadership development" and a lot more being able to communicate verbally and on paper more efficiently. They took turns leading PRT in the mornings so definitely brush up on FM 7-22, as well as ADP 6-22, as per what the fellow Soldiers have already previously stated. Ensure your PFT is good and your form is perfect, because they won't be strict, but they will only allow the standard, breaking the plane/locking out elbows.

However, I'm sure you got this and have fun! Being a 42A, you should be good on some of the curriculum they teach you (ie; awards) due to them being S1 functions in some sort.

Good luck!
