So, what happens to service members who fail Infantry Training School? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/so-what-happens-to-service-members-who-fail-infantry-training-school <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>A valid question came up when discussing the assignment of Women to Combat Arms units. Can they simply be reassigned for failing to qualify for the 11B ( or USMC 03) MOS?<br /> My personal experience is that the only way out of Infantry training was to graduate or be discharged for medical reasons or misconduct. Has anyone had any experience with Infantry School Failures being assigned to another MOS? What were the reasons? The integration of women in Combat Arms doesn't really change anything in that regard. If they day you fail Infantry training the Army happens to need left handed mechanics, congrats, you're going to Mechanic School. If that day they needed cooks, you'll be headed to cook school. Staying and reattempting training is always possible (it's cheaper than sending someone to another MOS school) but it's always at the discretion of the service. The infantry isn't for everybody, but that doesn't mean they can't still find a useful niche to serve in. 1SG Private RallyPoint Member Wed, 16 Dec 2015 11:47:23 -0500 2015-12-16T11:47:23-05:00 Response by LTC Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 16 at 2015 12:14 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/so-what-happens-to-service-members-who-fail-infantry-training-school?n=1179758&urlhash=1179758 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>My "battle buddy" in Air Defense OBC was a 1LT who had washed out of Armor school.... It's a uncharacterized discharge. SFC Private RallyPoint Member Wed, 16 Dec 2015 22:44:51 -0500 2015-12-16T22:44:51-05:00 2015-12-16T06:05:26-05:00
