So what is the stupidest Pokemon go reply you have gotten so far?

I am on brigade staff duty right now and I am leaving to go do security checks tonight. As I am walking out side there is a female sitting there. I said HI and she replied hi. I asked her if she was okay and she said yes I am playing Pokemon go. I just turned around and went back in because I was trying not to laugh too much. I went in and told my runner and he said that she just signed in off of leave and is a Soldier. Now they are driving around the parking lot. So far they have stopped in 3 parking spots. This game is out of control.

Better playing Pokemon Go the night before duty than at the bar getting hammered or even sitting in her barracks watching TV.

Doesn't sound like a dumb reply to me. Pretty straight forward actually. I can see how the old school crowd doesn't get the gaming age. But you aren't gonna laugh them out of being who they are. Maybe you could try to understand it (not necessarily fall in love with it) and you'd get along with your soldiers who play. That's some leadership 101 for free. Otherwise I'm sure laughing at your soldiers for enjoying something they like is a good way to make them like you.

It's not really the game it's self. It's more of it being 2330 work call for our battalion which she is in is 0530 and apparently our brigade head quarters is a gym. As I did go out and was posting the original question another car showed up with 3 people and they were all playing. I might be a SFC but I grew up in the gaming era. I am not as old as you might think I am. It's just how fast and how hard Pokemon go hit is what it really is. And I never said I laugh at her.

SFC (Join to see) - I certainly agree that it has taken the, almost world, by storm. If you were like me then Pokemon is what we grew up on. It's probably nostalgia more than anything. I would have to say that it's a good thing for those who are typically sedentary and recluses. But it shouldn't ever affect their work life. I see your point there.

Pokémon GO is a huge PERSEC risk. That game/app infiltrates almost everything on your phone and sends it back to the game designers, who then use it for whatever purposes. If you don't care about your personal information, photos, contacts, texts, etc. staying YOURS, then play on blissfully ignorant. Don't say you weren't warned...

There's other apps that do that too.

Actually that's not really true. It is true that during the initial release the iOS version of the game had much more permissions than was required (full access to your Google account) but that was fixed within a week and there was never any indication that the app used those excess permissions.
