Yes, they can be motivational. Especially when you have been standing in PT formation for the better part of 2 hrs waiting for the BN run to start...........AFTER the BN CDR makes his 35 minute speech. But, the bigger questions.........Do you understand the meaning of the Creed? Do you live the Creed? For me, hearing the Creed is one thing, but hearing a Soldier tell me their personal meaning of the Creed and having their personal meaning give me chills, then that is what pumps me up. Even if you weren't feeling it in the morning by the end you were yelling "Follow ME!" with everyone else Response by SGT James Elphick made Apr 21 at 2015 1:04 PM 2015-04-21T13:04:01-04:00 2015-04-21T13:04:01-04:00 LTC Private RallyPoint Member 606848

Thr creed was not around when I was in. However I take a lot of pride in that creed even more than the officers creed. First and formost we are all soldier and that title and creed means more to me than any other rank or title! I volunteered to do it, knowing full well the hazards of my choice.

I serve in a mighty Airborne Force – famed for deeds in War – renowned for readiness in peace.
