Watching my equipment from Somalia being loaded on the ship for the voyage home.

Talking to a WWII veteran who served all of the war on the USS Massachusetts from the first shot in the Atlantic to the last shot in the Pacific.

When it comes to why I joined the navy I would say listening to my great uncle tell his WWII war stories while he was in the navy. My favorite memory since I joined my first homecoming there is nothing like it.
