Jason Duey II 6726130 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I have taken the asvab and received a 76 with a 117 GT score. Now, I am waiting for MEPS to clear my documents and for me to go up, take the physical, and swear in. I have already decided my job as a 31B in the Maryland ARNG.<br /><br />In the mean time, is there anything I should be thinking of adding on my contract or any schools you recommend me getting under my belt if possible? Specific things to add on my contract before enlisting? 2021-02-06T21:31:01-05:00 Jason Duey II 6726130 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I have taken the asvab and received a 76 with a 117 GT score. This is not a civilian negotiation. Your MEPS Counselor can only put what the law and regulations allows and requires. You&#39;ll be offered everything there is available to offer that you qualify for. The Guard gets to decide most everything. You might get input on the dates for basic training and AIT. Do read the enlistment contract before you take the oath and sign final paperwork. Ask if you don’t understand something. Enjoy the adventure! There are some schools that pop up from time to time like Airborne school. Those have less to do with you and your scores and more to do with current needs of the Army. I&#39;m currently on recruiting and tell people every day...&quot;it&#39;s not that you don&#39;t qualify for something, it&#39;s just that the Army doesn&#39;t need that right now&quot;. You can be medically cleared for Airborne training while at MEPS, but that does mean that they need Airborne personnel right now. That got me an automatic E2 upon successful graduation. What I did not know was I could have asked for eligibility for Meritorious E3 with the college credits I had. I could have graduated boot camp an E3 had I known that.
