SrA David Steyer 577437 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Just curious if this is too soon to start handing out resumes to local employers? Anyone ever utilize local employment resources and agencies?<br /><br />Just curious as I am looking at staying in the local area - Tampa Bay (Macdill AFB) for a variety of reasons (wife has a career, her family is here, my family is now two hours away, family health issues on both sides etc) but I see a lot of websites, ads etc for local employment services but never hear any thing about them if they helped or not. I'm not limiting this discussion to the Tampa Bay area but just curious in your area if the local employment servies are helpful? Starting the process six months out... 2015-04-07T15:47:15-04:00 SrA David Steyer 577437 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Just curious if this is too soon to start handing out resumes to local employers? I would definitely start putting yourself out there and making those connections. I always prefer to start my search in anticipation of a transition, so it was as seamless as possible from one job to the next. Start with USAJOBS. As a military veteran, you have an advantage over any strait civilian. Also with being a federal civilian employee, there is better job security and most benifits are better as well.
