The army teaches you just enough about truck driving to end up in jail with thousands in fines. A da 348 and dd 214 does not equal a CDL.

It tought me enough to use the skills I learned to be ahead as a CDL student driver un the civilian world. No you're not jumping into a 60 ton truck and grabbing gears right out of AIT , but you will be leaps and bounds ahead of civilians with no experience what so ever. I have parlayed my military MOS 88M into a great civilian career as a Commercial Fuel Tanker Driver. I make 90K+ a year and am happy in what I do fo a living.
