SMSgt Private RallyPoint Member 70673 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div><p>For those of you in the AF, does anyone have any insight on this?   I have been trying to put two and two together since SECAF James briefed last Friday.  Would appear that the orginal ideas for personnel cut and cost savings were based on only cutting a small number of aircraft.  Sec James briefed that she wanted to cut the entire A-10 and U-2 Fleets, which would be a much greater cost savings.  Additionally, she said that the orginal cut of 25K personnel would most likely be less.  Doing the math in my head, it sounds like we (the AF) are going to be telling people very soon that we were just kidding about letting so many Airmen VSP/TERA.  Now if that becomes the case, I would imagine we will have a slight motivation problem.  </p><br /><p> </p><br /><p>So does anyone know anything concrete?</p> 2014-03-06T08:08:48-05:00 SMSgt Private RallyPoint Member 70673

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>That is an excellent question, and it certainly seems to be leaning that way. I think you very well might see it come down to the commander being able to cherry pick from a group of eligible people who he would want to rid of.
