I went through all the old AFAST books to help me try and get a picture of what was to come. I suggest going through a lot of math problems. I even checked out books to study for the GED because I thought the old math AFAST stuff would not be hard enough. I was right. The math portion was pretty difficult imo. I've always done well with English questions so I concentrated on that subject less.
For the math stuff, http://www.khanacademy.org is a pretty good resource.
I looked up helicopter study flash cards online. I made about 250 flash cards. I only recognized maybe 10 of the questions that I was given.

My GT score is 121. I passed the SIFT with a 58.
I applied last year but was not selected. I plan to apply again once after the required one year wait time has passed.

Khan Academy

Learn for free about math, art, computer programming, economics, physics, chemistry, biology, medicine, finance, history, and more.
