TAPS seeks ‘Good Grief Camp’ mentors

This Memorial Day, as we honor and pay tribute to the service members who have made the ultimate sacrifice, we also hold close the families left behind to carry on their legacy of service.

Each of the 600 children in our Good Grief Camp will be paired with a veteran of the Armed Forces who serves as a Military Mentor.

Honor Memorial Day by volunteering with TAPS. Help us keep the battlefield promise of caring for the families of America’s fallen military heroes. Make a difference and mentor!

Well Sounds Great! I just wanted to mention that for the past 40yr's my wife and I Founded and have run Broadway Gymnastic School hear in Los Angeles, Calif. I/we have been helping out any Veteran that has a child or children that need help for their child at no cost to say thanks to them! It just slays me when I think of that Pres. we had a while ago that said Americans just need to learn how to give and not just take! When my sister in law told everyone at a Christmas Dinner several years ago All Soldiers are Murders! I said that means me and she said yes! Well my older brother came over to me when I quietly got up from the table and walked in the other room and he said She didn't mean that! All was well! I was able to deal with it! But it did ketch me off guard! Hey! So if maybe someone could suggest to me how I/we might spread the word more to Veterans or Widows in Los Angeles! Anyway I will keep helping those that wander in! Just feel that we could do more! Sp/5 Cates

Is anything organized locally by states? I am in Cleveland, OH.
Female, E-4, USAF, 8 yrs active duty; out on 1988.
Maybe gather up at Airport USO’s...
I used to volunteer at the base Airport but, USP sh/be in civilian Airports as well...

I've volunteered with TAPS for 3 years now and it's always an amazing experience. These are such amazing kids and I love that I can continue to serve my brothers and sisters by serving these kids. Truly unforgettable moments.
