You will get it either way. I wouldn't suggest taking them though because you will not have any time to spend with them anyway.

Went through EBOLC last year. All you need is a lease with an address that matches your orders. You don't need proof of payments (I changed addresses less than a month before I got to FLW). It doesn't matter if you bring your dependants or not, just having them authorizes you for BAH w/dependants.

You will also be billeted on post. It's better that way. Also, you won't be TDY. Reservists cannot get TDY, you're on ADT money.

CPT (Join to see) Thanks for the reply. I called the finance office at FLW and they told me that all I need is my marriage certificate and my HOR stated on my orders to get BAH. Would you be willing to PM me about BOLC? I would love to know what to expect and how I can prepare myself to perform the best.

I'm NG Finanace: If you are on active duty orders for more than 30 days you get full BAH, orders less than 30 days, you still get it, it's just a partial rate (what you receive while on 2-week AT orders). It is based off of your HOR (this is why it's so important to make sure your address is correct in the system). As for the TDY part, your unit should have you do a DTS Authorization for travel. Are you flying or driving? All that needs to be done in DTS prior to departure, especially if flying because your flight needs to be reserved in DTS. If training is less than 400 miles one way form your HOR you're authorized to drive, which is reimbursable. When you return form training, you'll do a DTS voucher. You're entitled to 75% per diem on your travel days, but if meals are provided during training you're not authorized per diem on those days.

Get with your unit, LT!! They need to be assisting you on all this! But, let me know if you have any other questions.

Also, no need for a lease/rental agreement/mortgage....if you have dependents, they are already in the system, as long as you provided all that documentation to your unit, i.e. marriage/birth certificate.
