If your family goes with you and live on post the Army will take your BAH for rent. If you decide to rent a place off post you will get OHA but no matter what you get they will take all your OHA even if you get a cheap one bedroom place. However, if you live off post, you will handle your OHA, plus the extra they give you for utilities.<br /><br />If you are Non Command Sponsored, you are not authorized to live on post, but you will receive OHA.<br /><br />If you are married and your spouse is in the US, you will be receiving BAH for your spouse&#39;s location plus qualify for Family Separation Allowance.
