One question I'm sure will raise is the reprimand piece. I do know a few of my peers who received reprimands for whatever reasons I'm not privy to. But none, that I know of, are GOMORs. They're BN or BDE level reprimand letters filed in their AMHRR by request to the first GO in the chain of command. Is there really a difference between an LOR and GOMOR with regard to QMP? I agree with it, particularly in keeping the digging in the current grade...I know plenty of folks that got an article 15 early in and have been clean as a whistle since....though that would be one way to down size. Does the board still get to see these or is it blocked? If blocked does the board pass over them or know that they are referred? What would you do if you were on the board? It is not very different from the original criteria that was developed in the early 1990s. My concerns lie with the Qualitative Service Program (QSP) process. There are no definitive criteria for determining who may be separated that I have found yet this will be the third QSP board. Not to make to broad of a generalization, but if you meet the criteria for QMP review you probably should be out of the Army and in my humble opinion, you probably shouldn't have been promoted to your current rank. The Army is relatively easy to navigate, show up where and when you're told to do so and be in the correct uniform. If you apply those principle to your whole life, I can't see you doing anything that would put you on the QMP radar. More than likely you will be subject to a separation board and sent packing. Keeping your nose clean on and off duty shouldn't be hard.
