So does Iran. We don't support Iran. Syria is fighting ISIS. We are raging a proxy war against Syria. Iran supports Syria. We also are fighting ISIS along with Iraq, Iran, Syria but we don't support any of them but Iraq. The rebels in the region are also fighting Syria and ISIS at the same time. We support them but some of them are kinda ISIS. ISIS is just about the only one that has the firepower that is need to overthrow the Syrian government but we don't want ISIS to do this. We want someone else to do this. If we kill off all of ISIS Syria will wrap out the rest of the rebels we are supporting instead of fighting ISIS.

To further complicate this Assad protects the Christians in his country while ISIS will drive them out or kill them.
