"The Bachelor " new season has begun. Do you think there is any value in watching? Will it be on on your house anywhere?

Monday night watch groups gather. For some, football and beer are important. For others, roses and wine. This series has lasted dispite predictable situations and outcomes. Why do you think people watch? Do you think it can be a springboard to talk about relationships? Is it comedy? Tragedy? I know you guys don't watch it; ok, maybe you do, but I won't tell. Same with "Dancing With the Stars." ;)

Maj Kim Patterson Nope, I think it's a total waste of time. LOL at least for me it is...I just don't get sitting and watching this...to me it's non sense....but to some it's not.

Sgt Kelli Mays I have been watching it for years. It has great sponsorship by the tourism industry. I have a daughter. She and her friends curled up on my couches for years and I shared their conversations as they grew into women. We have scattered but we still play along. I am just thankful I don't have to be on camera!

Maj Kim Patterson - It sounds like fun with your daughter and her friends. I imagine you miss those days. I am one who can't stand these shows. It's just simply not my cup of tea.

This isn't for me. Something isn't right when a man goes on a date and it gets steamy and then they go back to the house and he picks up another girl and it gets steamy and so on and so on...to me that is manipulation. Going from one to the next for the entire season...is he thinking abut one when he is in the hot tub with the other??? Just not right in my mind. We don't watch it.

Cynthia Croft - it's show from the '80's that was film in New Zealand about a warrior princess from Greece, they have a lot of Mythology tossed in, but it's not accurate. There is also one called Hercules, both are more for entertainment then anything.

Cynthia Croft - we have one channel here that has it on at 8 p.m. local time during the week, and twice on Saturday afternoon.
