I was touched by the Irish famine memorial in Philadelphia when I visited years ago. I believe there are also memorials at Antietam and Gettysburg for the Irish soldiers who died on those fields. This is the one from Gettysburg.

In many of the units of the Military- the Civil War (Iron Brigade) 7th CAV- why do you think they play "Gary Owen", They were not different than the Scots or other minority groups.
