The drycleaner left burn marks on the stripes on my ASU trousers. Is there a paint I can use to touch it up?

I don't think I would recommend using paint....but I sure would be talking to the place that did it and have them fix it or give you money to fix it. That is unacceptable.

No paint.

You might try hand scrubbing them with warm water and soap. Sometimes these things can be faded into obscurity this way. Certainly couldn't hurt.

If that doesn't work, replace them. Sucks, but that's life sometimes.

Oh yeah...and find a new drycleaner.

EDIT:

The reason hand scrubbing sometimes helps is two-fold:

- Sometimes the "burn" isn't burned material or threads...it's starch used in pressing the uniform. Or it might simply be dirt. Either way, hand scrubbing many times will remove such marks.

- Sometimes the "burn" is superficial in nature to the threads/material. In other words, it may must be a light burning of threads/material. Sometimes hand scrubbing will caused the burned portions to be scrubbed away.

They need to compensate you for that. I had a place add service stripes to my uniform and when they removed the old pair they put a small hole in the sleeve. It was barely noticeable but it was still a flaw so I spoke to the owner and they bought me a new jacket.

Go to the dry cleaner and demand that they compensate you for the replacement of the stripes on your pants. If they resist inform them that you could ask your CoC to place the dry cleaner on a list of businesses that service members are forbidden to patronize. That should do it.

Take those pants back to the dry cleaners, ask for the manager, and explain that THEY caused this problem. You should hold them accountable for their actions.

You have a job, and everyone expects you to do it well, right?. The dry cleaners have a job as well. Why should they not be held to the same expectation?
