1. How much money Richards makes

In his opening statement, committee Chairman Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) said he doesn't think Planned Parenthood needs federal subsidies; just look at Richards's salary, he said.

"I could be here a long time listing out fairly exorbitant salaries," he said.

When it was time to ask Richards questions, Chaffetz hammered the Planned Parenthood president on her salary. Here's an excerpt:

CHAFFETZ: Your compensation in 2009 was $353,000. Is that correct?

RICHARDS: I don't have the figures with me. But …

CHAFFETZ: It was. Congratulations. In 2013, your compensation went up some $240,000. Your compensation, we're showing based on tax returns, is $590,000, correct?

RICHARDS: That's not my annual compensation. I — actually, my annual compensation is $520,000 a year. I believe there was a program that the board sort of put together for a three-year — I'm happy — again, I think we have been extremely forthcoming with all of our documents.

The exchange seriously upset Democrats in the room.

Which is not all that much compared to average CEO salary. The median being just below $700k. So compared to her peers, she is underpaid.

My first criteria in making charitable donations is first the worthiness of the organization and its recipients. Secondly, I look at what percentage of my donation actually reaches the intended recipient. The Salvation Army stands tall in both tests. Planned Parenthood falls short in both.

When they start worrying about the billions that hedge fund managers make, and the low taxes they pay, then I'll worry about her pay. Until then, they are simply trying to earn cheap (and hypocritical) political points.

Did you see the exchange between them when he (Chaffetz) posted some slide and tried busting her chops on it saying he got it from them, and digging in her butt, but when her lawyer told her where it actually came from (the same group who made the videos) and she called him out on it, he got quiet. I had to repost it on FB because it was so funny how he was IN HER A**, on the slide (it had to do with the amount of money used for abortions), and when she found out where it came from *crickets*. And it was on Fox at that. Both sides need to stop. Pump brakes and renegioate. It's really becoming childish.

I saw the chart,it was meant to misslead by the way they mashed it together.But if the numbers and years are correct there has been a slight up tic in abortions by about 37,000 over several years which to me I personally believe women should have the right to make their own decisions,and Planned Parenthood not only helps with this process but helps women with vital services,screenings,and preventive care.So I'm for funding and the continuation of the program.With that said,the other numbers show a decline in services to women,a little over a million women from 2003 to now have not been served.There was 2million being served in 2003 and it's down to 935,000 approx,if this chart is anyway accurate.If so I question Why?A million women women are not being served but the ones leading seemed to be making out really good,a 230,000 dollar raise all expenses paid,setting back drinking wine,eating steak and talking about harvesting our children.It makes me sick to think the way not all planned parenthood employees but how some are so caulouse,I don't know the word.There's aprofessional environment to to discuss these issues and I signed the back of my licence allowing my parts to be of help to others,so enclosing I say No to deffunding,Yes to over site.This is not a political issue to me but an issue that will define us as a civilized nation.
