Abu Azrael – which roughly translates to ‘The Angel of Death’ – is purportedly the leader of a Shi’ite militia, the Imam Ali Brigade, a group fighting Islamic State in Iraq.

According to Vocativ he’s now become a cult figure on Iraqi social media, with several Facebook pages dedicated to him, posting photos of Azrael holding axes, waving swords, and even abusing the corpses of ISIS fighters.

Interesting that the Iraqis need to prop up a characiture of a man in order to rally the men. Why not a good old-fashioned medal pinning on Soldiers who distinguish themselves with their exploits against ISIS?

This dude looks like some other paper tigers I've seen, with his ridiculous knives, 5-11 tactical hat and shirt, and lots of cool-guy patches.

We here praising him and worshipping this man but I guess many of us have never faced him or heard of him ever before! He was the number one man in our travers lists in Iraq from 2005-2009 and he's killed many of our brothers and sisters! He has been awarded the name of Angel of Death because of the things he did to many MIAs and the many that have fell to his wrath during our encounters with him in Iraq. He's no angel, he was Mahdi Army Commander who stood up against Americans and other allies, so please do your research before posting something like this! I know it's a free country and all but would you be okay if we post and praise Usama Bin Laden on here? I don't think so!

Sometimes to Kill a Thug you find a Bigger Thug. This one is a Hezbollah, Party of Allah, Party of God. You know those guys that blew 250 plus Marines to Hell in Beirut. He is a Forward Foot Soldier for the Iranian Revolutionary Guard. As a Navy Spook I had the Utmost respect for the Regular Iranian Navy but the Seaborne Revolutionary Guard was Reckless and Dangerous.
