I believe we are definitely under paid but unfortunately I do not see that changing in my lifetime. Hopefully they figure it out for our future Soldiers. We're on a Salary PLUS Benefits/Allowances System which makes it impossible to directly compare the systems. We put the pressure/guilt on each other to accept our pay and drive on ("you volunteered") but that mentality doesnt recruit talent either. There is definitely room for improvement in my opinion.
