As some of you may know, I'm a damn dirty mercenary, er, pirate, er, privateer, er, contractor, heh heh. Granted none of the overseas contracts I've worked have been as exciting as this movie, and in all likelihood, none of them ever will be. Nonetheless, this film reminds me why I love my chosen profession, and it never gets old.
So, any other "Wild Geese" fans here?

The movie was good, but the book was even better. Great watch and read. To those who haven't seen the movie watch it, to those who have but haven't read the book, read it.

I have always loved this movie since the first time I ever saw it in the late 80s as a teenager. I'm going to go watch it again now!

Didya know that Jack Watson (R.I.P.), the actor portraying RSM Sandy Young, had been a real-life PT Instructor in the Royal Navy in WWII? Obviously, he knew WTF he was doing. Y'all might also recognize him as the tall, mustachioed Canadian Cpl. Peacock in "The Devil's Brigade."
