Even though I still work for the Army as a civilian, it's not the same as being on active duty, and I don't "connect" with active duty Soldiers in my unit the way I do here on RallyPoint -- both Soldiers and veterans.

I have posted this in other places on RP ... This is the virtual equivalent of the coffee shop (or, in the case of Fort Meade, the food court at the PX), where many retirees hang out and discuss the good old days. I tried Facebook, but I went through puberty once and that was enough for me. You can only see so many kids light themselves on fire just to get views. I've been up here to Fort Lee twice this year, and it gives me something to engage when I have free time. I really enjoy seeing all the different sides to the questions.
