There has been much debate on "free" education. How do you think this can be done without solely depending on closing tax loops on the 1%?

And I know nothing is free. I meant college education but the students don't pay, so they will have to be subsidized. How can this be done without raising taxes and closing the loops on the top 1%?

The biggest issue is not raising taxes, it's decreasing government waste. You can google government waste and get a million responses. I don't care if birds slur their speech while drunk. I don't care if a bee sting on the penis hurts more than a regular sting anywhere else. Why do our tax dollars pay for this when we are struggling to pay our own bills.

Fully concur. Cut the waste and all the stupid studies, then maybe just might do something worth while. Here in Denmark, students go to college free. I pay part of that in my taxes (52%) I pay even though I have no kids to put through school. The money's got to come from some where.

There is no such thing as a "free" education. It must be paid for by someone.

It is sad when many of the wealthy do not serve in the military. It used to be honorable for the wealthy to serve. The Roosevelts, Eisenhower, all the Kennedys, Nixon, Reagan, and both Bush presidents all served to name a few. Then we have leaders who do not serve--Trump, the Clintons, and Cheney. One does not have to serve to lead, but it is sad when those who benefit most from our country feel entitled to all we offer without giving in return.
