As SSG Ryan R says, the PX doesn't save you much even with the sales tax savings. With Amazon you can get much better deals. Commissary saves a bit, but stores like Foodmax in California are comparable. There is no question that all our vets especially disabled vets deserve a lot more than what they get; the only thing i might examine here is the hassle of more crowds and maybe need to hire more clerks at the stores and perhaps more security at the base gates, for what is only a hollow, marginal benefit.
