It is much more accurate and reliable than the pig. It is just as easy to disassemble and maintain if not easier and, it will continue to fire reliably if it gets dirty/no time to change the barrel, etc.

I was brought up on the M60 as well but, they did it right when they built the 240. The things I "didn't like" about either weapon were pretty much the same (weight). However, I have to admit that I liked the 249 better...lighter, easier to track with, etc.

Funny story; had a Soldier offer me a good-natured "challenge" on the range one time while training our ANA. We used the 240, and the goal was to see who could not only hit, but move a stone in a direction chosen by the other...I can't be certain of range this many years later. I ended up "winning" because after we both moved our respective stones, more of mine's "mass" remained intact-LOL Response by LCDR Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 21 at 2015 7:52 AM 2015-08-21T07:52:38-04:00 2015-08-21T07:52:38-04:00 MAJ John Adams 956256

I guess I'm too old of a salt, since I've never handled the 240-B, just the M-60.
