This is a great article for those that are out of the military and those transitioning out in the future.

We have all heard the saying don't forget where you came from, when we were promoted or put in new positions.

It was a pleasure reading this article and realizing that everyone of us in the military has done each of these throughout our careers. taking this to the civilian market is no different. That is an excellent article, CSM Michael Lynch. I'm later on in my career - much closer to retirement than to beginning, and the advice from Lisa Quast is as valid for me today as it was on day one, back in 1975. I see it playing out every day at my current workplace. I could have written the note that prompted Lisa's reply, in fact, but I know the differences and the points she makes. I just need to implement them.
