They are both about getting together, having a good time, relaxing a bit. Someone has initiated one more inane topic of conversation to keep us diverted from the more important ones. ie: treatment of veterans, illegal immigrants, social security shortfalls, politics as a career. The Marine Corps Ball is for slightly-to-moderately older men (and their dates) who actually friggin walked the walk, and did exactly what they said they were going to do during their past Prom(s).<br /><br />Semper Fi.
