TIS Pay From National Guard to AD? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/tis-pay-from-national-guard-to-ad

Having some issues over here at my new base, let’s begin.
I was prior service ANG, I was a traditional guardsman, I completed 6 good years in the guard, I have my NGB-22 reflecting 6 good years. I separated and got picked up to fly for active duty. I am now currently getting paid O-1 with less then 2 years of service.
Now, I am fully aware I do not qualify for O-1E because I did not complete 4 years AD or have enough points but, I should currently be paid at least O1 with 6 years of service. My MPF Office here said “only active duty time counts and my reserve time doesn’t count as TIS” even though I have a couple of buddies who are currently getting paid O1 with x/ amount of years who were prior guard and reserve. I have shown them my NGB22 and they keep referring to my DD214 (which only shows 1 year from BMT and tech school)
I have yet to find a reg that shows TIS is “time with points only”
Any help would be awesome, thank you!
Cheers!
Austin Tue, 08 May 2018 18:03:24 -0400 TIS Pay From National Guard to AD? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/tis-pay-from-national-guard-to-ad

Having some issues over here at my new base, let’s begin.
I was prior service ANG, I was a traditional guardsman, I completed 6 good years in the guard, I have my NGB-22 reflecting 6 good years. Their is a formula out there that portrays how each drill, weekends and deployments equate. I have never served in either, but I have many friends who have. As. LT I encourage you to take a deep dive into the regulations so that you will be comfortable with the answer. It will also prepare you to advise Sokdiers that you will lead in the future. Thank you for your service. He or She may be able to clarify the TIS difference between reserve/guard and active duty. As the others stated, only the training points/time during your guard days will count to your Active Duty Time toward retirement. Your ORB should say you have an allotted time in service but per pay side, you would have to get the clarification. Speak with your Brigade S1 OIC and Technician - (Human Resources Personnel) , a Career Counselor regarding the transition to Guard/reserve to AD and if they cannot help then personnel side at HRC (your equivalence to a Human Resources Command to Air Force).

-I see that you are in USAF, hopefully my Army lingo can help. I had this same question. He was a NG before going active duty and he confirmed me that the TIS for pay stays the same. TIG obviously starts again when changing to the officer side. Your basic active service date (BASD) should be calculated based on service with the guard and your pay entry basic date (PEBD) should remain the same. 1LT Private RallyPoint Member Tue, 08 May 2018 22:28:51 -0400 2018-05-08T22:28:51-04:00 Response by CW3 Kevin Storm made Oct 25 at 2018 12:45 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/tis-pay-from-national-guard-to-ad?n=4073636&urlhash=4073636

Not AF, but I never heard of that kind of BS, if I am not mistaken that sounds fishy, I would ask for that to be referred by page & paragraph of the regulation they are using by your admin people, or the higher admin folks.
