Frankly, I think white uniforms should not be worn in a career field that has exposure to things that can permanently stain the uniform and make it look shoddy. But that's just my 2 cents. Remove civilian counterparts and refill the ranks with our own. Then deal with meal issues then we can go ahead and look at uniforms. If that's the case, i say as many people as you can get, fill this out and submit it. When I was in it was 622XO now it’s M3 or 3M . I’m retired now. I was involved in an accident on Redeploy and out on TDRL
Temp. Disability Retirdment list for 2-1/2 yrs. went to school got my Chef paper and requalufied to return to duty. Even at the school I was a team leader.. there were other Vets in there and we had each other’s 6s. We were pulling down the best grades partly because we showed up 100% of the time, and following directions. They were team let’s too.. always staying on top of what was going down.. volunteering for the special activities
(First on the list). The civilians learned to not F— with us because we had each other’6., it was about teamwork and we showed that. True there was supposed to be some competition.. There were like 70
That started and some that just couldn’t pack the gear.. 55 finished.. we tried to work with them too and they were stuck on themselves and each other and thought their stuff didn’t stink.,. snobby rich kids spending daddy’s money. While I served as a 92G at FT Bragg while we wore a Maroon Beret outside obviously inside we wore a disposable white paper garrison hat. Not only does it make them more appealing, coats that are unwashed are easier to spot because every dirt is visible on black and stains are easier to remove as well. If that current thing with the Unit patches and flag is still going then keep the sleeve, otherwise please remove it, it just gets in the way. Cooks with the flexcap (baseballcap or what ever) with rank looks cool and comfortable, it should be implemented for everyone.
