To get a conditional release from the Army Reserves, would it be a faster transferring to the IRR and then going back active duty? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/to-get-a-conditional-release-from-the-army-reserves-would-it-be-a-faster-transferring-to-the-irr-and-then-going-back-active-duty <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div> Mon, 29 May 2017 17:53:12 -0400 To get a conditional release from the Army Reserves, would it be a faster transferring to the IRR and then going back active duty? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/to-get-a-conditional-release-from-the-army-reserves-would-it-be-a-faster-transferring-to-the-irr-and-then-going-back-active-duty <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div> SSG Dennis Mendoza Mon, 29 May 2017 17:53:12 -0400 2017-05-29T17:53:12-04:00 Response by LTC Private RallyPoint Member made May 29 at 2017 6:01 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/to-get-a-conditional-release-from-the-army-reserves-would-it-be-a-faster-transferring-to-the-irr-and-then-going-back-active-duty?n=2607783&urlhash=2607783 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>That makes sense to me since that&#39;s what I did to go from the National Guard to the Army Reserve so to go to the active duty I would think that would be the same procedure? Recruiters and or readiness non commissioned officers will know this. Have you asked for a status on your request? The Army Reserve has been approving quite a few conditional releases the last few months and that trend will likely continue. If you are not MOS Q, it should be easier for you to get it approved. Are you scheduled for an MOS Q course? From there it can take up to 6 months before the DD form 368 to return. It really depends on your BDE policy on conditional releases. One of the units I support can get a conditional release quite easily. For another the General doesn&#39;t approve them unless they have a really good reason, and &quot;I want to enlist in the Active Duty&quot; isn&#39;t a good enough reason.
