To go to OCS with the National Guard, do you have to meet the strict height/weight standards or can you go if you pass the tape test?

I’m order to join go to OCS with the National Guard, do you have to meet strict height/weight standards or can you do tape test? I’ve heard it both ways.

The standard is the same for active duty, reserves, and national guard. When and if you do not make your target weight then they will tape your neck and abdomen. Age will depend on what body fat % you are allowed to have.

You would be taped if over the HT/WT standards. Max is 24% unless you’re in the 40 and over crowd.

The tape test IS the height/weight standard.

I always taped.
Was 35 pounds overweight.
